The 2011 Golden Slipper will be run on a Dead 5 track following a track inspection this morning.
Stewards were satisfied that no further rain had fallen on the track since earlier in the week, and decided against making any change to the official track rating.
There were concerns over how the track would play after consecutive weeks of racing, however the rail has been moved out 4m, ensuring a fair racing surface.
The current penetrometer reading is 5.19, meaning that there is unlikely to be a track downgrade unless rain hits the Rosehill Gardens course.
Earlier in the week showers were predicted for the Rosehill area on the afternoon of the Golden Slipper, however these predictions have been scaled back and the Bureau of Meterology is predicting just a 10% chance of rain falling in Sydney today.
Although the forecast for rain has been scaled back, there is still expected to be a gusty breeze blowing at Rosehill today, meaning horses trapped wide without cover will do it especially tough.
