Black Caviar has arrived safe and sound in Sydney after an overnight road trip from her home track in Melbourne.
The world’s best racehorse arrived in her horse float at Randwick Racecourse at around 4.00am (AEST).
Trainer Peter Moody said she coped extremely well with her overnight drive.
“She came off the truck in good shape, had a good drink and a leak and a mouthful of tucker,” Moody said.
“Her temperature was good so we threw a saddle on her and she went out for a trot and had a good look around.”
Black Caviar has come to Sydney in the hope of winning her 12th unbeaten race in the $1 million TJ Smith Stakes this Saturday April 9, 2011.
This will be the super mare’s first taste of racing the Sydney way of going and her first race outside of Victoria.
The 2011 TJ Smith Stakes will run as Race 5 tomorrow as part of Randwick’s AJC Australian Derby Day.
