Nominations have been announced for the 2012 Run To The Rose, which is set to take place at Rosehill Gardens racecourse this Saturday September 1, 2012.
Pierro is one of nine horses included in the 2012 Run To The Rose, which is the precursor to the Group 1 $1 million Golden Rose on September 15.
The three-year-old Pierro has won all six of his race starts and has earned close to $3 million in prize money.
The Golden Slipper winner may come up against Black Caviar’s half-brother All Too Hard in the 2012 Run To The Rose.
The Casino Prince colt finished second behind Pierro when they last met in the Group 1 Inglis Sires’ Produce Stakes at Royal Randwick racecourse in April.
All Too Hard has won three of his five race starts and has earned more than $430,000 in prize money.
The young colt is also nominated for the Group 2 Memsie Stakes and the Group 3 HDF McNeil Stakes at Caulfield racecourse this weekend.
Amorino, Nediym’s Quest and Epaulette are also included in the 2012 Run To The Rose nominations.
