Samaready Withdrawn From 2012 HDF McNeil Final Field

August 29th, 2012

Samaready will not compete in the 2012 HDF McNeil Stakes this Saturday after going off her food earlier this week.

The three-year-old was due to have her second spring start in the 2012 HDF McNeil Stakes, however, will be rested until next weekend.

She is likely to resume in the $220,000 Danehill Stakes at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse next weekend.

Samaready placed fourth in her first-up spring start in the Listed Quezette Stakes at Caulfield on August 18, which was won by Elite Elle.

The More Than Ready mare has won four of her size starts and has earned more than $1.2 million in prize money.

Elite Elle will be running in the 2012 HDF McNeil Stakes in the attempt to keep her unbeaten record alive.

The three-year-oldĀ  has won all four of her previous race starts and has earned more than $140,000 in prize money during her career.

Elite Elle is trained at Caulfield by Tony Vasil and is looking to win her first Group title in the 2012 HDF McNeil Stakes.

The Shamardal filly has drawn barrier 10 for the 2012 HDF McNeil Stakes and will be ridden by jockey Mark Zahra.

Underestimation, Kabayan and Amorino are also included in the 2012 HDF McNeil Stakes final field and barrier draw.
